Rules
Rule 1 A winning point will be awarded for all completed sets won, and loss point for sets completed
sets lost. A partial set when time expires (indoors) will count 1/2 point won or lost regardless of the
number of games completed. i.e. 1-0 is 1/2 point win, as 6-5 is a 1/2 point win, etc.
Rule 2  A minimum of 25 sets must be recorded to be eligible for the playoff tournament. The top 8 seeds
(or highest even number available from eligible players) will play in the playoff tournament.
Rule 3  A spreadsheet will be used to track the number of sets played with each other player.
The spreadsheet will then dictate what the teams should be in order to even out the
number of sets that any player plays with all the other players.
Rule 4  I have the sorting of the standings set to winning % first, then number of wins, and then simply
alphabetically. Exact ties will be decided by a singles match between the 2 players. USTA Rules.
Rule 5  All regular season matches will be best 2 of 3 sets (or partials when time expires indoors).
All playoff tournament matches will be best 2 of 3 sets, to be completed in there entirety.
Use the standard 12 point tie break rules to decide all 6 all sets.
Rule 6  When playing indoors switch sides only at the conclusion of each set (to save time).
Keep downtime to a minimum as much as possible indoors and keep the pace moving.
Indoors when time limited play No Ad at Deuce #3. If time is not limited play full ad Tennis.
Arrive early to stretch and warm up quickly to get as many games in as possible indoors.
Use traditional odd game switching and full ad when playing outdoors with no time limit.
Rule 7  Line and out calls will remain casual and determined on the fly. If disagreements arise play the
point over. Foot faults have never and will not be called in this group. Let's not get to serious.
Lets have fun.
Rule 8 Any player that retires during a set, from injury or any other reason, will lose 1/2 point for that
set even if that player leads in that set. All completed sets will count as finished.
Rule 9 A match that is 2-0 sets for one team is considered over. Teams will switch partners
(spreadsheet determined) and play the remaining time for the half (or full point). The play will
count as a set (or partial set) played together on the partners spreadsheet after 10 minutes.
The points will also only count after 10 minutes time has been reached with new partner.
At the conclusion of the regular season (June 30th) one half of the prize money will be awarded
to the top three finishers in the standings. The other half of the prize money is awarded to the
top two teams in the Playoff Tournament.
The playoff tournament will be a double elimination tournament of static teams dictated
by the order of finish in the regular season. 1 with 8, 2 with 7, 3 with 6, and 4 with 5.
The playoff matches will be the best 2 of 3 sets and played outdoors in Jul, Aug and/or Sep.

1st place $100 1st place team $100
